Established in 2024 with the support of the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, the Jing-Sen Children's Happy Reading Fund is a non-profit initiative that carries forward the legacy of the founders of The Chen Yet-Sen Family Foundation, Mr.Robert Yet-Sen Chen and Mrs.Daisy Li-Jing Fan Chen. 'Jing-Sen' is an amalgamation of their names, and its meaning inspires our mission: to nurture a lifelong love of reading and learning in children.

The Chen Yet-Sen Family Foundation has over 20 years' experience in promoting childhood literacy in Mainland China. In order to fulfil our mission, the Jing-Sen Children's Happy Reading Fund will continue the Foundation's impactful approaches to enhancing access to books and instilling innovative pedagogy.
The Fund encaptures the wide influence of the Feng Zikai Chinese Children's Picture Book Award and the best practices know-how of the Stone Soup Literacy Initiative, while further promoting the value of reading through proven strategies.
